In this video, we will practice Dream Theater Home first solo section by John Petrucci. As we all know John Petrucci is one of the best alternate picking masters in the world se we gonna practice Home fist solo to improve our alternate picking skills. He wrote this solo in 90 bpm with 32nd note triplets. I usually teach this solo to my students for alternate picking, picking speed, and accent mechanism. Don’t forget to accent the first notes of 32nd note triplets that means you’ll accent the first notes of six note groupings. Always practice with the song and with the metronome (both). Start slow and increase your speed gradually.
