I’ve been using Axe Fx Ultra for 7 years and I believe it’s still one of the best budget amp modeler and effects units in 2020. If you don’t have a budget for Axe Fx III, you can buy a used Axe Fx Ultra between 650 – 850$ and you will get high-quality sound.

I saw some comparison videos between Hotone Ampero and Axe Fx Ultra modelers and I think Axe Fx Ultra has way better quality sounds than Hotone Ampero amp modeler and the other budget amp modelers. Axe Fx Ultra released in 2008 after the Axe Fx Standard model. Later on, Axe Fx II released in 2011 and the last Fractal audio released Axe Fx III and everybody agree that the unit is one of the best amp and effects modeling product available today.
