Privacy Policy

Who we are

Our website address is: https://ozzguitar.com. This site is operated by Ozz (Ozgur Turkekul), offering guitar lessons, guitar-related video content, and information about original music. If you have any questions about this privacy policy, you can contact us at ozzguitarofficial@gmail.com.

What personal data we collect and why we collect it

Contact forms

When you use a contact form on this site, the data you submit (such as your name, email address, and message) is sent to us by email so we can respond to your enquiry. We do not use this data for any other purpose, and we do not share it with third parties except as needed to deliver the message (for example, our email provider).

Guitar lesson booking and scheduling

Guitar lessons are booked through Calendly, a third-party scheduling service. When you book a lesson, Calendly collects the information you provide during booking, such as your name, email address, and time zone, in order to schedule and manage the appointment. Calendly’s own privacy policy governs how it processes this data.

Payments

Payment for guitar lessons is processed through iyzico, a third-party, PCI-compliant payment provider. We do not see, collect, or store your card details on this site — they are entered directly on iyzico’s secure payment page and handled entirely under iyzico’s own privacy and security policies.

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.

Embedded content from other websites

This site includes embedded content from YouTube and Instagram (for example, video lessons and social media feeds). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if you had visited that other website directly.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

Analytics and advertising

This site uses the Meta (Facebook) Pixel, which helps us understand how visitors interact with the site and measure the effectiveness of our advertising. The Meta Pixel may collect information such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you visit, and may use cookies for this purpose. This data is processed by Meta in accordance with its own privacy policy.

Who we share your data with

We share data with the following third-party services as described above: Calendly (lesson scheduling), iyzico (payment processing), and Meta (advertising analytics via the Meta Pixel). Visitor comments may also be checked through an automated spam detection service.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

Contact form submissions are kept only as long as needed to respond to and resolve your enquiry. Booking and payment records are retained by Calendly and iyzico respectively, in line with their own retention policies.

What rights you have over your data

If you have left a comment or submitted a contact form on this site, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, or request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes. To make such a request, please contact us at ozzguitarofficial@gmail.com.

Where we send your data

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service. Booking and payment data is sent to and processed by Calendly and iyzico as described above.

Your contact information

If you have any questions or requests regarding your personal data, please contact us at ozzguitarofficial@gmail.com.

How we protect your data

We use standard security practices for this site, including HTTPS encryption, and we rely on reputable third-party providers (Calendly and iyzico) for scheduling and payment processing so that we never directly handle your payment card details.
